Down Under Winners from North America – 31st December

The Rocknroll Hanover harness racing gelding Rock Diamonds lifted his stake earnings to beyond $1 million when he posted his 68th win in a $15,000 race at the Christmas Eve meeting at Harrah’s Philadelphia.

ROCK DIAMONDS REPLAY

Starting from the outside No. 8 gate, the New Zealand bred 11-year-old was sent straight to the top and was never afterwards headed, clocking 1:51.6 for the mile.

Former NSW pacer Humble, a four-year-old gelding by American Ideal, led in an Aussie quinella with Spring In His Step second in the $40,000 featured Preferred at Meadowlands on Saturday night (December 28).

After leading at the end of the first quarter, the Humble handed up before outsprinting his rivals off cover to win a half-length in a new lifetime mark of 1:50.6 on a sloppy track. He has now won 13 of his 21 starts and $124,068 in stakes.
