Big purse increases

Dover Downs has Announced a 20% purse increase for the balance of its current harness racing meet ending April 14.

Concerning feature races:

On Mondays -the Preferred pace will go for a $36,000 purse. The Delaware Special races for $33,000 and Open paces for a $24,000 purse.

The Filly/Mares Open pace will boast a $24,000 purse on Tuesdays. On Wednesdays, the Open trot will have a $24,000 purse.

All races will include a 20% increase.

These purse increases DO NOT affect the upcoming Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund three-year-old events, which begin in late March featuring $20,000 preliminaries with the top eight finishers qualifying for $100,000 finals for colt and filly trotters and pacers.
