One long harness racing win streak came to an end at Dover Downs while three other streaks continue. Elliesjet N's longest win streak during 2015, eight-in-a-row, all since arriving in the U.S. from New Zealand, came to an end on Tuesday (1/5) in the $20,000 Mares Open pace. I Love My Boss stepped up to the $20,000 Open trot and extended his win streak against the top trotters to five consecutive winners.and in claiming events, Jingle Bell Rocker annexed his fifth straight in a $10,000 event while Ragazzo Dolce made it seven straight in the $20,000-$25,000 claiming trot..

Corey Callahan continues to win in multiples. He won two on Sunday, three on Monday, then four on Tuesday and Wednesday and three more Thursday. Callahan now has 9i0 wins for the season en route to his seventh-straight driver track title. Allan Davis is second with 55 wins. Ross Wolfenden, who won four on Thursday, is third with 50. George Dennis holds fourth place with 45 winners and Tony Morgan is fifth with 32 wins.

Dylan Davis keeps a big lead among trainers. The track defending champ the last two seasons, has 31 winners. Jim King is second with 25. Wayne Givens, in third place, with 20 and Doug Lewis and Les Givens are tied for fifth with 15 winners.

Promising driver Jason Thompson has temporarily moved to Chicago to race at Hawthorne Park. During 2015, the 22-year-old quickly became a regular driving at Delaware tracks and in Maryland. He has picked up drives from several trainers who are moving their operation to Illinois.

While most of the top drivers at the track are well-known veteran performers, several newcomers are starting to show their skill. Montrell Teague, 24, has made a national presence, thanks to Winggle It Jiggleit. Tyler Davis, 23, has quickly become one to watch. Russell Foster, now 26, drove three winners on the 12/17/15 card. Jason Lynch, 26, is a promising driver following in the footsteps of his dad, Toby Lynch. Justin Vincent is another. He has shown much talent at Delmarva tracks. The youngest of the "new breed' is Logan Powell at 17 who has already won races in Ohio and now is back home in Delaware.

Sunday racing is now featured during January and February. Sunday racing begins at 5:30 p.m. On Monday through Thursday regular weekday post time is 4:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday are 'dark' days.
BRIONI SEEKS 2ND STRAIGHT; JINGLE BELL ROCKER 6TH STRAIGHT SUNDAY
In his first start after being claimed by Arty Foster, Brioni won for the second straight time to win last Sunday at Dover Downs. Marcus Miller will again drive, on Sunday, Jan. 10. Jingle Bell Rocker remains in holiday spirit looking for seventh straight victory. Sunday post time is 5:30 p.m.
In the $15,000 Claiming Allowance pace feature, Brioni now has won four of his last five races and drew post 1. Blake and Bruce Baker’s Native Art with Montrell Teague, this week, finished second last tine was beaten only a half-length. Matt Bailey’s Danish Diligence and Ross Wolfenden was third for the second straight week,
Pete and Antoinette Gray’s NJ Law and driver Bret Brittingham takes a drop in price. Don Reed and Jim Tessmer’s veteran campaigner McElodian and George Dennis usually closes well , Toastsmygoats with Allan Davis, CC Racing’s R River Dell Vic Kirby, and Battleshoe Tom and Montrell Teague drop down in price but must stat from outside post 8.
Two streaks are on the line, on the under card: Tina Clark’s red-hot pacer Jingle Bell Rocker (Wolfenden) seeks a sixth straight success in a $10,000 claimer. And pacer Doctor McSwing (A.Davis), now five, seeks a first career win in a 4&5-Year-Old Male pace, for owners Allan Pullman, Barry Glickstein and Eddie Davis,although he has been second 14-times and third eight-times winning $55,801.
