Don Fanucci Zet wins Hugo Abergs Memorial 2025

The great International harness racing performer Don Fanucci Zet (9m Hard Livin-Kissed By The West-Western Terror) prevailed in the Gr. I International Hugo Abergs Memorial (purse to winner 1,609,000SEK, 1609 meters autostart, nine starters as Double Deceiver was scratched) timed in 1.09.5kr.

Off at 2.4/1 odds  from post  eight the  Orjan Kihlstrom reined  winner raced midpack until  engaging leader Mellby Jinx past the 1200 meter mark and he put that one away and drew clear.

Daniel Reden trains for Stall Zet and the winner now posts 31 wins in 63 starts for 21,672,913SEK earned.

This was Don’s fourth 2025  win in 10 starts. Pacesetter 2.83/1 Mellby Jinx (7g Ready Cash-Heavens Door-Muscle Hill) held second for trainer/driver Daniel Wajersten and owner Mellby Gard AB.

Home third was 11.83/1 odds Daim Brodda (5f Readly Express-Dancing in thehall-Cantab Hall) with Eirik Hoitomy driving for Thor Berg training for Stall Tonga Racing AB.

Onas Prince (8m Chocolatier) was fourth at 10.3/1 for Per Nordstrom with 30/1 Star Mack Crowe (6m Bold Eagle) fifth with Magnus A. Djuse at the lines.
