"Diamonds and Boots"
For Immediate Release “Diamonds & Boots” SRF’s 35th Anniversary Cream Ridge, NJ -6/30/2024 The Standardbred Retirement Foundation’s, (SRF) mission has changed the lives of thousands of trotters and pacers. These accomplishments were made possible through the kindness and generosity of donors and supporters who love these horses. To mark and celebrate thirty-five years, the SRF has a fabulous “Diamonds and Boots” gala planned! On October 19th, 2024 a unique celebration will be ready for everyone to join and thoroughly enjoy! The evening will start with a red carpet welcome and a fabulous backdrop for photos! Do come in your bedazzled boots and party attire, put your diamonds or crystals on, wear a bolo rather than a tie! During the evening with cocktails, dinner, and great sweets you can set your eyes on SRF’s adopted horses, now proud to be Police mounts. Step up close and see them in person or watch them on the many TVs. Learn about the extraordinary people who went beyond to help these horses over nearly four decades as SRF presents a few notable awards. As for the other entertainment, some of what is in store may be on your “water bucket” list. SRF and the Meadowlands will accommodate a limited number of guests to tour the backstretch and witness up close what it takes for a horse to get ready to race that night; take a photo in the Winners Circle; ride in the Starting Gate car; watch a race called in the Announcer’s booth; and have photos taken with the SRF Police horses! All except the Starting Gate car will accommodate several of your guests. Exciting plans also include SRF’s full-color publication of a keepsake coffee table book welcoming all Standardbred friends. There is no need to have an adopted horse from SRF to include your horses and stories with a favorite photograph; a memorial to a friend or family member who loved this breed; recognition of your heart horse; or a tribute to SRF’s work. This beautiful keepsake publication will share fabulous photos and interesting facts and stories on this 35-year journey. There were and still are many trials and tribulations. Some of the history will astonish readers. There are several other activities planned around the “Gala” and for racing fans, this just happens to be on the night of the Breeders Crown elimination races. Invitations will be mailed in July and all will be online then. Book submissions with photos can be easily sent through SRF’s website at that time. Save that date, Saturday, October 19th and get your diamonds and boots ready!
