Danish trotting import Peak to stand at Bellmouth Park

South Australia – Breeders in South Australia have a reason to celebrate as renowned Danish trotter Peak is set to stand at Mario Borg’s Bellmouth Park for his first season in the region.

Peak

Peak remains the only stallion to sire Group 1 winners in both hemispheres.

Peak, a distinguished racehorse and champion sire, brings an impressive record to his new stud duty. In his racing career, he earned more than $320,000, won the prestigious Danish Derby, and left his mark in New Zealand by securing victories in two of his three starts – including a Group 1 win at Addington and a career-best performance in the Group 3 Ashburton Trotters Flying Mile.

His influence is already evident among his progeny. In New Zealand, Peak has sired 53 individual winners, while in Australia his offspring have produced 24 winners from just 27 starters.  This season Peak has sired 9 wins in New Zealand and 8 winners in Australia.

Peak has sired seven (7) $100,000 plus winners including Doff Your Cap $210,495, and Invictus $205,369.

Notably, local mare Alleyes has secured 8 wins, 3 of which came this season.

Peak is product of the esteemed Speedy Crown line – which includes top sires such as Muscle Hill, Muscles Yankee, and Father Patrick – Peak traces his lineage to the celebrated French stallion Ganymede, renowned for siring winners with over $150 million in earnings worldwide.

Breeders are invited to take advantage of Peak’s first season at South Australia’s Bellmouth Park, where the service fee is set at $1800 plus GST. His progeny will be eligible for prestigious races including the Southern Cross, Vicbred, and The Breeders Crown.
