Club Menangle set for a massive night of racing and entertainment with Garrards Miracle Mile

Garrards Miracle Mile, Australia’s premier Harness Racing event, returns this Saturday at Club Menangle featuring high stakes racing and vibrant festivities.

The Grand Circuit event, the Garrards Miracle Mile, is the culmination of an exciting 2-week carnival period. The final field of elite pacers will take on Australasia’s richest 1609 metre Speed Pacing Championship with a $1 million purse

The Garrards Miracle Mile field is arguably the best field of horses ever assembled featuring four pacing millionaires and a raft of group one victories between them. Leap to Fame, with over $5 million in prizemoney, a former winner of the million-dollar race, and arguably one of the best Pacers in the world, is difficult to ignore. Other contenders include the Luke McCarthy duo of last year’s winner Don Hugo, and recent NZ Cup winner Kingman, Newcastle Mile winner Bulletproof Boy, and Queenslander The Janitor. Sydney trainer Jason Grimson has strong claims with his outstanding mare Captain’s Mistress, backing up after her runaway victory in the Group 1 Chariots of Fire. The stable also boasts the iron horse Swayzee, winner of over two million in prizemoney and new Kiwi inclusion Chase A Dream.

Off the track racegoers can expect a night of celebration and revelry with performances by legendary Australian rock band The Angels playing trackside before the feature race. The beats continue with all-night music from our Red Bull Truck DJ, Trackside DJ Eluna, and official after party.

There will be plenty of entertainment for the entire family. Attendees will be treated to the delights of the Aussie Night Markets with carnival rides and over 50 food and market stalls, witness the future stars of the track with our Mini Trots, and enjoy interactive roving entertainment including our inflatable dancing horses.

Racegoers are encouraged to don their most fashionable attire and enter the coveted Fashions on the Field presented by Poco Vino competition open to Ladies and Gentlemen for the chance to win a share in the $5000 cash and prizes. Complimentary hair and makeup touch ups will be on offer in the Pamper Lounge and stop by the TAB cart to receive your personalised TAB cap.
