Chuckthemillionair wins Open Trot

Chuckthemillionair (Kyle Dibenedetto) captures the featured $17,000 Open Trot at Tioga Downs on Saturday (August 23).

Duly Resolved (Tyler Miller) led to the quarter in :26.4.  He used a :29.1 second quarter to be first to the half in :56.0.  Chuckthemillionair ($25.20) made his move first-over going down the backstretch.  Duly Resolved led to three quarters in 1:24.1.

As they reached the stretch Chuckthemillionair took over the lead.  Second place finisher Whiskey Lou (Ridge Warren) slipped through on the inside as third place finisher Purple Lord (Jim Pantaleano) went three-wide.  Chuckthemillionair held them off to win in a lifetime best of 1:54.2.

Chuckthemillionair is a 5-year-old gelding by Lucky Chucky.  He is trained by Joe Fusaro for owners Peter Peck, Harvey Ort Jr., and Bryan Casey.  It was the 10th win of the season and of his career.
