Pompano Beach, FL…February 10, 2017…Pompano Park's Saturday harness racing program is "definitely better for the bettor" as there are three large carryovers in play, one of which has turned into a rare $20,000 guaranteed pool.

With the Pick-5 unsolved on Wednesday night, a lofty $6,644 carryover has spawned a $20,000 guaranteed pool for Saturday night's Pick-5 conducted on races one through five.

Gabe Prewitt, Director of Racing at Pompano Park, said, "Since there was nobody able to solve the Pick-5 on Wednesday, and we have this "better for the bettor" attitude here, I thought it would be nice to give the players a chance to enjoy a guaranteed pool, which is rare on a Saturday night here."

Not only is there a carryover on the Pick-5, Pompano Park's Pick-6, covering races three through eight, also had nary a single winner and has a carryover of $4,574 for the Saturday night card.

As the "icing on the cake," Pompano Park's Super Hi-5 finale now sports a carryover of $63,036, the largest of the season.

Post time for the highly competitive Saturday Pompano program is 7:20 p.m.
