Captains Knock stuns again in 1.48.8
Mercurial pacer Captains Knock (Captaintreacherous) gave yet another scintillating display in taking out the APG Pace at Menangle on Saturday night.

The race was added with interest with the appearance of Rakero Rocket who had recently gone 1.50 winning a trial recently at Menangle.
Even though Captains Knock was drawn on the inside of Rakero Rocket the latter was too fast early as the pair carved out an opening quarter of 25.5 seconds.
CAPTAINS KNOCK 5 SEP REPLAY
Jason Grimson was content to take the trail on Captains Knock while Rakero Rocket sailing along in the lead. Veteran Max Delight was back in the field and driver Will Rixon was able to get a trail of sorts although he was still a fair way back chasing.
Captains Knock peeled off Rakero Rocket’s back and in a twinkling dashed away to record an effortless win over Jorge Street who ran the race of his life in coming home for second while Max Delight ran his usual honest race for third. Rakero Rocket weakened to finish ahead of two runners. Overall Captains Knock rated 1.48.8 for the mile and he may well better that time given his current zest for racing.

Captains Knock has won his last four starts for Grimson since he took over the training from Brad Hewitt and he is racing in rare form. He’s definitely shaping as Cups contender depending on what Grimson sets for him.
The win was a double for Grimson as earlier he was successful on I Got Chills (Art Major) who won an epic battle with his stable mate Our Sunset Delight. I Got Chills led all the way but Our Sunset Delight who faced the breeze refused to give in despite the harder run and only just went down by half a head.
