Boyd is best in the West
The Aldebaran Park bred Aldebaran Boyd (Aldebaran Eagle USA-Aldebaran Revenue) firmly established himself as the top trotter in Western Australia for the current season when he chalked up three wins on end at Gloucester Park in April.

The versatile gelding overcame a 20 metre handicap to win over 2503 metres from a standing start on April 10, then followed up with consecutive wins over 2130 metres from behind the mobile in a 2:00 mile rating on April 14 and 28.
He has now won 18 races and $151,489 in stakes.
Another of the Aldebaran Eagle USA progeny in WA, Mystery Fred, notched his sixth lifetime win at Gloucester Park in April.
Aldebaran Eagle USA was also represented in Victoria by the trotting winner Night Flight and the pacer Huxham Chubb, and in New Zealand, by the bold trotting mare Eagle Hanover NZ, who won her 11th race at Manawatu to take her stake earnings to more than $145,000.
Aldebaran Eagle USA has sired eight individual winners this year in Australia for almost $175,000.
Skyvalley NZ, the premier colonial bred trotting sire for the past decade, continues to churn out the winners.
During April Skyvalley NZ left six winners to boost his seasonal tally to 25 and he is currently second on the winner’s list and fourth on prizemoney.
Among his winners last month were the Melton victors Mac Flick (Tr 1:59.9) and Spanish Rizardo and the Victorian provincial winners Woman To Love (Tr 1:59.7), Karbine (Tr 1:59.8), Kyvalley Anthony (Tr 2:00) and Little Miss Valley.
Skyvalley NZ also figured as the damsire of the runaway NSW Trotters Foundation 4YO Final winner I Am Hellbound (Tr 1:55.3) and the talented three-year-olds Munny The Munster and Zoolu.
Aldebaran Park bred three individual winners in April in Aldebaran Boyd in WA and the New Zealand pair Aldebaran What NZ (Tactical Landing USA-U Dream NZ), who won on the grass at Ruakaka Raceway and is part-owned by Aldebaran Park, and Aldebaran Redwood NZ (Father Patrick USA-Another Love NZ), who scored at Alexandra Park, Auckland.
In the yearling sale arena, Aldebaran Park was again a leading player at the 2026 Nutrien Equine Melbourne sale at Oaklands Junction in April. We sold five lots on the day and three post sale including the highest priced trotting colt on Sales Day, the regally bred Aldebaran Tobbe (Walner USA-Aldebaran Teal Swe) at $180,000.
Melinda and Danny Thackeray and all the Sales Day team worked tirelessly in the lead-up to the Sale and all yearlings were presented in magnificent order.
Congratulations to all purchasers and we wish you every success both on and off the track with your Aldebaran Park bred horses.
