Bettor’s Wish fillies deliver across two hemispheres
Bettor’s Wish continues to make his mark as a sire, with his daughters producing feature-race performances in New Zealand and North America.

In New Zealand, Fly High and Secret Wish won harness racing heats of the Group 1 Nevele R Fillies Series in the North and South Islands.
At Alexandra Park, Fly High used her gate speed to lead throughout for trainers Barry Purdon and Scott Phelan and driver Harrison Orange.
The daughter of Bettor’s Wish and Flyover rated 1:55.9, with a final 800 metres in 57.2 and closing quarter in 28.6. The $32,000 yearling purchase has now won four of her 11 starts, with three seconds and earnings of $66,625.
FLY HIGH REPLAY
Two days later, Secret Wish completed the double at Oamaru for trainers Hayden and Amanda Cullen and driver Blair Orange—Harrison’s father.
Secret Wish also led throughout, rating a fast 1:54.8 and finishing with closing sectionals of 55.4 and 27.5.
Bred and raced by Brian West’s Studholme Bloodstock, Secret Wish is a half-sister to the $735,000 earner Chase A Dream.
She became Bettor’s Wish’s first Group 1 winner in New Zealand when successful in the Magness Benrow Three-Year-Old Fillies Final in May. Her latest victory secured a place in the Nevele R Series Final and took her record to six wins from 13 starts, with earnings exceeding $186,000.
SECRETS WISH REPLAY
Bettor’s Wish is also making a major impact in North America through outstanding three-year-old filly Miss Jum Jabber.
The Brett Pelling-trained filly recently won the $300,000 Pennsylvania Sire Stakes Final, racing without cover to defeat reigning divisional champion Loua Dipa in 1:49.2. It was the second time she had beaten Loua Dipa this season.
Miss Jum Jabber then won again at The Red Mile in an $80,000 Kentucky Championship Series event, producing a brilliant :24.4 final quarter.
MISS JUM JABBER REPLAY
The performances of Fly High, Secret Wish and Miss Jum Jabber provide further recognition for Bettor’s Wish, whose progeny are displaying speed, toughness and high-class racing ability.
A champion son of Bettor’s Delight, Bettor’s Wish won 24 races, earned more than $2.6 million and took a lifetime mark of 1:47.3.

He was named the United States Three-Year-Old Pacing Colt of the Year and returned the following season to be crowned Aged Pacing Horse of the Year.
