By Harnesslink ·

Philadelphia, Pa.–Tony Beltrami won both $9900 divisions of the American Harness Drivers Club trots today at Harrah’s Philadelphia scoring with All Rise (Conway Hall) in 1:57.4 in the first split and with Tidquist (Conway Hall) in 1:56.2 in the second.

Tony Beltrami

Sent off as second choice with All Rise in the first split, Beltrami got caught on the limb from the eight hole and followed cover past the half provided by Cambellini (Dante Scatellini). When they headed for three quarters Beltrami moved All Rise around the leader and went three deep to take command and when they turned for home All Rise zipped off to a three-length lead over Vallora N (Matt Zuccarello) who was traveling along in second place. But in the deep stretch
it was all All Rise as he cruised home an easy winner. Jonathan Ahle rallied Walkingintherain home for second while Vallora N garnered the show dough.

ALL RISE REPLAY

The winner, a 5-year-old Conway Hall gelding, is owned by his driver. He paid $5.80 for the win.

In the other split Beltrami and Tidquist got away third from the two-hole and they were content to hug the pylons as Bob Hechkoff and River Otter cut all the fractions as they trotted .by the quarter in :28 seconds and led the field by the half in :58.
Meanwhile as they approached the three quarters Beltrami moved Tidquist out to challenge and they drew alongside River Otter and were one-two as they headed for home as Clarion Hall (Michael Russo) joined the fray. The three trotters battled heads apart in the lane but Tidquist was the strong horse and he went on to  be a length winner in 1:56.2. Clarion Hall finished second, a head better than River Otter.

TIDQUIST REPLAY

Tidquist, a 10-year-old Conway Hall gelding, is owned and trained by John Obert. He paid $.20 for the win
