Monte performers take center stage at Vincennes

 

Monte performers were center stage today at Paris-Vincennes.

The Prix de Pavilly began monte action (purse €60,000, 2175 meters, 11 starters) this day and the 1.14.9kr timed winner was 1.7/1 odds favorite Diego de la Criere (4g Paris Haufor-Liola). Damien Bonne teamed this one that he trains and owns. 5.5/1 Bocile des Champs (4g Echo-Odile des Champs) finished second for David Thomain and 8.5/1 Diablo du Rib (4g One du Rib-Garda) was third with J.L.Cl. Dersoir aboard for Ecurie Rib and trainer Mme. C. Hallais-Dersoir.

The Quinte+ Prix de Nozay (purse €50,000, 2100 meters autostart, 18 starters) produced a quick 1.12.9kr victory for 4.3/1 Univaldi d’Aval (9g Vivaldi de Chenu-Kiss Me d’Aval) that Jean-Michel Bazire piloted for owner/trainer David Bethouart. 5.6/1 Univers de l’Aube (9m Infant du Bossis-Jacee de l’Aube) and Eric Raffin finished second ahead of 14.5/1 Vasco du Gite (g Laetenter Diem-Nageuse du Gite) with Anthony Barrier at the lines.

The monte feature was the Prix de Nort Sur Erdre (purse €80,000, 2700 meters, 11 starters). The 1.15kr timed victory went to 3.2/1 Bambina Blue (6f Lucky Blue-Quea Blue). The J,Ph. Mary trainee had Antoine Dabouis in the irons. 5.7/1 Broardo (6g Niky-Proadauna) was four lengths back in second for Alexandre Abrivard and trainer Vincent Martens. Third was 5.9/1 Buster de Beau Four (6g Rolling d’Heripre-Pignata) with Damien Bonne up, he also the owner/trainer.

The Prix de Charleville (purse €50,000, 2100 meters autostart, 14 European starters) ended in a blanket finish with 2.9/1 Stoneisle Lilian (7f SJ’s Photo-Ginger Tree Megan) on top for J-M Bazire, trainer Philippe Rillard and Malta owner Yorgen Fenech. 4/1 Agora du Goutier (7f Jardy-Olympe Pierji) just missed for Franck Nivard and 15/1 Unique Julia (7f Juliano Star-Staro Unique) was third driven by Dominik Locqueneux for trainer Jorgen Westholm.
