Harness racing could have another star if looks are anything to go by.
Chase Auckland a 2yo colt by Auckland Reactor is in work with Mark Purdon and Natalie Rasmussen and has been doing everything asked of him at this early stage.
Trainer Mark Purdon says "Chase Auckland has the makings of a nice horse and is well gaited"
Mark said "when he hits the trials and workouts then we will get a better idea of where he is at but at this stage I am happy with him"
Stable foreman Duane Marfisi who left for Canada recently liked the colt a lot and was keen on purchasing a share in the horse. Duane said " He is a lovely pacer, big and strong with a great attitude".
Chase Auckland was purchased at the Australasian Classic Yearling Sales for $45,000 for the Alabar Racing Syndicate.
The colt is a big athletic looking type with a lot of his father's attributes including a placid nature. He is currently the only foal out of the racemare Delicata. Delicata won 2 races at Cambridge when trained by Derek Balle and Owen Gillies.
Many of the Alabar Racing Syndicate 2016 who race Chase Auckland were at Allstars Racing Stables yesterday to watch the horse in work.

Syndicate manager Ivan Behrnes says "the Alabar Racing Syndicate 2016 is a good low cost and enjoyable way to race horses with some of the leading trainers in New Zealand including Mark Purdon and Natalie Rasmussen".
Ringside is another promising Auckland Reactor sales purchase for the syndicate doing his early preparations with Tim Trathen before returning to All Stars while they also have Charlie Mach (Mach Three-Unrehearsed) with Geoff Small and Tempest Bromac (Auckland Reactor filly from Tasmcmanian) with Nathan Williamson, showing promise.
