Asteroid hits first at Tioga

Asteroid (Creatine) takes the featured $12,000 trot at Tioga Downs on Saturday (May 10).

Asteroid and driver Tyler Miller

Vinny De Vie (Braxten Boyd) charged straight to the front and led to the quarter in :28.0.  He used a :29.2 second quarter to be first to the half in :57.2.  He continued to control things and led to three-quarters in 1:25.4.

Asteroid ($4.40, Tyler Miller) made his move first-up going around the final turn.  The two trotters battled as they reached the stretch.  Asteroid pulled away late to win in 1:55.0.  Vinny De Vie had to settle for second best.  Consus Victory (Aaron Byron) finished third.

Asteroid is a 7-year-old gelding by Creatine.  He is owned by Pollack Racing and trained by Jeff Cullipher.  He is one for one in 2025.  He now has 17 career victories.
