American JJ too tough for Vernon foes

As they reached the stretch American JJ was still in control. Southwind Falcon (Ron Harp) popped out of the pocket and was gaining with every stride. American JJ dug in and won in 1:58.0. Southwind Falcon had to settle for second. Bet Big On Blue finished third.
American JJ is a 9-year-old gelding owned by Lewis and Lisa Miller and trained by Hannah Miller. It was his third win this season and his 31st career victory.
