Woodmere Tango, an Articulator daughter consigned by Woodmere Farms of Marshfield, PEI topped a record breaking harness racing Atlantic Classic Sale today at Crapaud, PEI.
Morah Kerr of Truro, Nova Scotia purchased Woodmere Tango, who is a full sister to multiple stakes winner Woodmere Dancenart for $28,000.
Woodmere Farms also sold the second and third highest sellers in Woodmere Nora for $27,000 to Dave Fillmore, the same price reached by Woodmere Brackley who sold to Pat Morris.
An Atlantic record price for a trotter was set by Maritime Star who sold to Joe Smallwood for $16,000, consigned by Meridian Farms.
Gross sales were up 20% over last year with sales totalling $ 991,300. 93 horses sold with a sale average of $ 10,659.
