Seel The Deal building towards Cup

Harness racing trainers Greg and Nina Hope have New Zealand Cup nominee Seel The Deal ticking along nicely in his quest towards starting in the big race in November.

Currently sitting thirteenth in the Cup rankings, Seel The Deal comfortably won at the Rangiora trials today(Wednesday) in the hands of driver Ricky May.  

The seven year old American Ideal gelding paced the 2600m stand start race in a respectable 3-19.6 and quickened over his last 800m in 56.3 to beat Michelangelo by a neck at the line.
