Our cousin Melinda Cochrane sustained life threatening injuries on Tuesday March 28th while at work in Rockwood Ontario. while hand walking a colicky horse, she was kicked in the head by the same horse as it had shied away from something.
Melinda has spent several years in Ontario working with riding horses and standardbred race horses simultaneously
We're looking to raise funds to cover some costs of her family flying into Toronto from Halifax for their flights and hotels and other immediate costs for Melinda.
Melinda suffered a fractured skull and has been in an induced coma since Tuesday.
We are in the ICU at Sunnybrook in Toronto, today she had surgery to alleviate swelling in her brain. everything is one day at a time for now. thanks for any help and concerns.
