Medusa powered to the lead from post 7 for Tony Hall and rolled to victory — her 13th this year and second straight — in Monday's $20,000 Filly & Mare Not Listed Preferred/Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows. It was one of five wins for Hall on the 12-race harness racing card.
Once Medusa cleared to the lead, she easily thwarted the first-over challenge of Skippin By and prevailed in 1:53.2 over a "good" surface, a neck better than Certified Ideal, who gave trainer Randy Bendis an exacta sweep. The pocket-sitting Spreester was third.
Tom Pollack and Bendis campaign Medusa, a 5-year-old daughter of Bettor's Delight-Mythical who now boasts $395,952 in career earnings.
