Champion harness racing mare Dream About Me is a good chance today and close to an anchor, in todays (G3) $35,000 Terror To Love Methven Cup at Mt Harding racecourse .
The Mark Purdon and Natalie Rasmussen trained Bettor's Delight mare goes around in the fourth leg of pick six against some handy opposition and starts from the back mark of 30m, along with last start winner Titan Banner.
It will not be easy to win the cup from a long handicap but the 3200m distance will aid her chances and she looks to be one of the leading hopes in that leg of pick six if she can handle the grass.
Mark said on the stable website, "I have left Tim to handle Dream About Me in the Methven Cup since he is going to drive her later. Otherwise I would have driven her".
"Tim is in charge on Sunday and Nathan is backing up. They should all go well and apart from the mare probably Gentle Giant would be the best of our chances".
Today the pick six is on Races 6-11 inclusive guaranteed to $25,000 if struck.
Leg 1 Race 6 [3:07pm]
As Mark has suggested, Gentle Giant could be the best of the All Stars Stables winning chances and possibly an anchor in this race. He has drawn badly again in todays race but has the class to overcome the draw. Sounds Likea Gem is in good form and Queen Of Glory ran a good second last start. Apart from the favourite a a very even leg.
Leg 2 Race 7 [3:42pm]
There look to be several winning chances in the second leg of pick six. Norman Richards is the top chance and won well on the track last start. She'sa Tricky Bridge also won well last time she started on the Methven track. Other good chances include Zahara Zuri, Ok I'm Bad and Red Terror.
Leg 3 Race 8 [4:17pm]
Baileys Knight went well last start after breaking and is back to the mobile here. He is the main chance in this junior drivers race along with Vinny Gambini who has in form junior driver Matt Anderson in the sulky.
Leg 4 Race 9 [4:52pm]
Dream About Me has a 30m handicap but comes out of the powerful Mark Purdon and Natalie Rasmussen stable so has to the top chance here. Seel The Deal is a grass track specialist who ran second here last year to Smolda and he has a chance of beating the favourite if she does not handle the track. Titan Banner is also a big chance and is good form. He ran third in this race last year.
Leg 5 Race 10 [5:22pm]
A tricky field of rated 40 to 80 trotters. BD Khosan was huge after breaking last start and the money was on. They have backed him again today and he will be a big chance to win if he steps away with them. Momentous is in good form and needs to be included, but a very even field and a lot of chances. Take as many as the budget allows.
Leg 6 Race 11 [5:56pm]
The final leg is a very even go and there are many chances. Red Moon Rising is the obvious favourite and he has been backed in to $2.00 on the TAB FF win market. He is a great chance of winning but this is one of the more even races during the day.
