Freehold, NJ — Yonkers International Trot winner Resolve made the biggest move in this week’s Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll. The harness racing 5-year-old stallion moved from eighth to fifth in the rankings thanks to his victory in last weekend’s $1 million invitational.
Wiggle It Jiggleit solidified his hold on the No. 1 spot with his win in last weekend’s Yonkers Invitational Pace. The 4-year-old gelding upped his lead to 27 points over No. 2 Always B Miki, an increase of 14 points compared to the previous rankings. Always B Miki was idle.
The only other horse in the Top 10 that was in action last week was 3-year-old male pacer Betting Line, who moved from No. 5 to No. 4 in the ratings following his Ontario Sire Stakes championship triumph.
The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll does not determine Horse of the Year. The U.S. Harness Writers Association votes in December on all division winners plus Trotter of the Year, Pacer of the Year and Horse of the Year.
