Sweet Molly threads the needle late

CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – A perfect trip won the night as Sweet Molly threaded the needle late to capture the $4,450 Race 10 feature Thursday at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

Sweet Molly

Brodie MacPhee engineered the winning pocket ride for trainer David Dowling, angling Sweet Molly ($12.60) to victory in deep stretch to nail pacesetter Get Answers (Driven by Marc Campbell) on the line in 1:57.3 over a good track rated three-seconds off. The three-year-old sensation Badgirl Bridgette (Jason Hughes) rallied for third after sitting last in the field. Clair Murphy co-owns Sweet Molly with Dowling, Cindy MacLean and Derrill Murphy.
