Harness racing hits Kaikoura again today with 10 races on the card. The racing starts at 12:20pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Ar Gee Rulz (1) Ideal draw for this track and was good a couple of starts ago. Top three chance
Didjashoutthebar (2) Small field will help and should begin quickly. Stable going well. Needed
Delightful Dreams (12) Has been disappointing and difficult draw for this. Win chance with luck

Race 2

Fear Gogh (5) Running on late last start and easier here. Each way claims in a weaker field here
Star From Heaven (3) Has early speed to be one of the leaders and will be fitter. Good chance
Dream Boyz (1) Improver from his last start and better draw. Top three chance here at nice odds

Race 3

Prince Teka (6) Quick beginner and driver change for this. Good run expected if he finds the front
Royal Diedre (2) Ok last start and a threat to the favourites with a good run in transit. Include
Tyrons Strapping Lad (9) Good effort last start and due to strike form. Can sneak into the top three 

Race 4

Spirit Of Atlanta (4) Solid third last start and a winning chance if  she finds the front. In the mix
Scotlynn Crunch (2) Has gate speed and has been freshened. Should give a good account here
Blaze Craze (1) On debut and has trialed well for this. Draw gives her options and can go close

Race 5

Hoof It Hagrid (4) Big win last start and mobile will help here. Top selection in this field
Granny Rose (6) Should race handy and track should suit. Good each way chance at odds
Billy Kimber (1) Will be fitter after last start. Trailing draw and should get a soft trip. Include

Race 6

Style Council (2) Has not had a lot of luck and might surprise if he gets a good run. Worth including
Jesse Owens (8) Will depend on the start here. Winning claims with a quick beginning. Needed
He’s A Bay (5) Due to show form and normally a fast beginner. One to boost up the exotics

Race 7

Midnight Diamond (9) Going for four in a row. Will need luck from the draw but can go close
Judy J (5) Normally a fast beginner who should go close to placing in this. Winning claims
Holly Highlander (1) In good form and should get a good run near the speed. Top three chance

Race 8

Always A Menace (2) Good draw and might try for an all the way win here. Good chance
Goorambat Art (8) Decent motor and wide draw the only concern. Can do some work mid race
Rushkinoff (1) Much better draw here and will continue to improve. Top three hope from the ace

Race 9

Spirit Downunder (11) Has been racing better fields and will be running on. Wide draw but can win
Ohoka Cobra (5) Decent motor and is drawn well here. Top driver on and one of the better chances
Caloriefree (8) Good win last start. Harder here but will continue to improve and has place claims

Race 10

Blazing Knuckles (7) Has raced better fields. Wide draw but can make her own luck in this. Needed
Justyouwait (5) Freshened and better than most in this field. Has to be respected in this line up
Don’t Tell Jenny (9) Will get a good run on the pegs here and is a winning chance with any gaps
