Harness racing hits Oamaru again today with 9 races on the card. The racing starts at 12:27pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Top Draw (7) Trials have been solid and trained on the track. Will give a good sight fresh up
Star From Heaven (3) Draw will help and should begin quickly. Getting better with racing
Molly Maeve Estelle (1)  Drawn well here and gets a head start on favourites. Stable respect 

Race 2

Ridge (5) Quite a weak field and she looks stronger this time in. Has to be included
Spanish Princess (7) Tricky handicap but not a strong field. Can run into the top three
Starstruck (6) Chance here if she can get around without breaking. Top three player

Race 3

Here Comes Marty (9) Will get a cozy run on the pegs and only needs gaps to be a good chance.
Dawn To Dark (10) Mobile will be a big assist here after a gallop last start Better run expected
Miracle Memphis (6) Good effort two starts ago and better draw. Can sneak into the top three

Race 4

Axel Rose (3) Solid third last start and a winning chance again from the draw. Top selection
Silvester (2) No form but can go a good race with manners. One for longer odds in this field
Miles Away (11) Tricky handicap but in good form. Each way claims with a cart into the race

Race 5

Flying Ace (8) Fought on last start in a stronger field. Draw hurts but stable going well. Needed
Bruciebytheseaside (4) Had excuses last start and top driver booked. Good each way chance
Nikolai Ray (6) Better than the form suggests. Chance at longer odds if he stays handy to the speed

Race 6

Clonakilty (10) Good against a similar field last start. Hard to beat if he can get near the front early
Riptide (4) Should get a soft run handy. Winning claims from the draw and stable is kicking goals
Hazer (8) Racing well and normally good from a stand. Chance here at longer odds. Include

Race 7

Quinn (4) Gets a head start on the favourites. Worth including at longer odds in this field
Treasure Cove (6) Wide draw but should go close to placing back on grit. Good top three chance
Passchendaele (5) In good form and should get a good run near the speed. Winning claims

Race 8

Dreams Are Free (10) Fastest horse in the field and will be running on. Tricky handicap but can win
Tanzania (6) Decent motor and conditions suit here. Will quickly improve after last start effort
Tempo Warrior (7) Bit unlucky last start. Stand suits and place hope again here at longer odds

Race 9

The Merc (3) Better run last start and only needs manners to be a live chance in this field. Include
Snooowgood (9) Decent motor and if she gets around error free is one of the better chances in this
Cappaha (1) Finished on last start. Will continue to improve and place hope here from the draw
