Harness racing hits Auckland again today with 9 races on the card. The racing starts at 5:30pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Value:  R8   Better Knuckle Up

Race 1

Joyride(AUS) (6) Comes north after some good Addington form. Hard to beat despite wide draw
Princess Lisa (1) Small field will help and should begin quickly. Likely to get a soft trip. Needed
Blazing Knuckles (3) Getting better with racing and gets a head start on favourite. Place chance

Race 2

Chickies Babe (5) Good second last start and getting match fit now. Has to be included here
Te Ahi (6) Has early speed to be one of the leaders and comfortable win last start. Go again
Save A Prayer (1) Improver from his last start and better draw for this. Top three chance here

Race 3

Princess Gracy (4) Ok last start but should strip a fitter horse in this. Better run expected here
Waltzing With Miki (6) Tidy finish to win last start and a threat to the favourite with a good trip
Skys Legacy (1) Good effort last start and better draw. Can sneak into the top three at longer odds

Race 4

Hes Not That Into U (5) Trialing well and stable does well with debut runners. Winning claims
Gloria Steinem (2) Has gate speed and has been good at trials. Should give a good account
Mr Miki (6) Ran home well for third last start. Improver with a place chance at longer odds

Race 5

Ocean Eyes (4) Fought on last start in a similar field. Conditions suit and top selection in this
Westar Milly (6) Big run to win last start and improving with every run. Good each way chance
Santapazienza (5) Will be fitter after last start. Should get a soft trip and can run top three

Race 6

Kevin Kline (3) Good against a similar field last start. Hard to beat against this lot. Needed
You Little Beauty (5) Should get a soft run handy. Winning claims in this  smaller field
Beta Prepare (2) Gate speed and nice second last start. Should give a good account here

Race 7

Southern Diamond (3) Freshened and at his best would go close. Will need manners. Needed
It Ain’t Me Babe (4) Should go close to placing in this after some tidy recent form. Include
Castana (2) In good form and should get a good run near the speed. Top three chance again

Race 8

Better Knuckle Up (3) Has not had a lot of luck recently. Has winning claims with the right trip
Sooner The Bettor (1) In winning form and is drawn well here. One of the better chances
Merlin (9) Running on last start. Will continue to improve and 20m handicap only concern

Race 9

Courtney Rose (2) Not far away last start and up to winning this with a good run in transit
Mako (6) Has been freshened for this. Stable respect and could start a short priced favourite in this
Melody Banner (5) Plenty of speed but manners not great. At her best would go close to winning
