$75,000 guarantee on Friday Red Mile Pick 5

LEXINGTON, Ky.— The Friday (Oct. 3) card at The Red Mile will feature a $75,000 guarantee in the 50-cent Pick 5, which begins in Race 3.

Following the Saturday (Sept. 27) card, in which longshots thrived including a pair of winners that returned over $60 to win, the 50-cent Pick 5 generated a double carryover totaling $19,846.16. Because of the large carryover coming into Friday’s racing, The Red Mile will guarantee a $75,000 pool for the Pick 5 sequence, which also features an industry-low takeout of 12 percent.

The Pick-5 sequence covers Races 3 through 7, including three divisions of International Stallion Stakes. Race 3 is estimated to go to post at 1:40 p.m. (EDT).

First-race post time at The Red Mile is 1 p.m. (EDT).
