Sept. 16, 2025 Wind Blown And Langille Dominate Summerside Card By Nicholas Oakes For Red Shores SUMMERSIDE, PE – Wind Blown showed his back class in the $5,000 Preferred 2 pace Tuesday evening at Red Shores Summerside Raceway, capping a four-win performance for driver Paul Langille. Wind Blown ($3.50) was sent to the front from post 6 and never looked back, pacing home in 1:55 flat for trainer Phil Sizer and owners Doug Polley Jr. and Sr. of Amherst, N.S. Sauble Attack (Driven by Ken Murphy) was a quarter-length back in second with Mantario (David Dowling) third. Langille’s grand night also included victories with Southwind Ricochet ($2.20) in 1:57 for trainer Earl Watts, Howmac Maximus ($3.30) in 1:55.2 for conditioner Tammy Collings, and Brokeandoutofgas ($4.90) in 1:56.1, also from the Collings barn, giving that stable a pair of training wins. The $3,350 Peter Coughlin Memorial in Race 3 saw Midnight Love ($2.60) go all the way in 1:59.3 with Dowling in the bike for trainer George Rennison. The Nicholas Oakes stable doubled up for owner Milton Young of Paradise, N.L., as Brigus ($4.00) captured Race 6 in 1:57.1 with Adam Merner in the seat, while Doctor Grenfell ($4.40) went wire-to-wire in 1:56.2 in Race 9, also with Merner engineering the winning trip. Trainer Taylor Doyle made two trips to the winner’s circle, sending out Sharky ($2.10) to a 1:58.3 front-end score in Race 2 with Corey MacPherson, then later clicking in Race 8 when Mappo Oriley ($2.10) romped in 1:56.2 with Dowling at the lines.
