Harness racing hits Auckland again today with 13 races on the card. The racing starts at 5:16pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Bet:  R7  Castana

Best Value:  R5  Olympic Ko

Race 1

Pretty In Pink (3) In winning form and might be too good with manners. Should run top three
Bravehearthighlander (2) Small field will help and should begin quickly. Racing well. Needed
Viscount Mackendon (4) Getting better with racing and due a win. Place chance with luck

Race 2

Jeremiah (5) Beaten by a top horse last start and should be thereabouts again. Has to be included
Sooner The Bettor (1) Has early speed to be one of the leaders and is fresh. Can run a quick mile
Better Knuckle Up (10) Improver from his last start and look for an improved performance. Top three 

Race 3

Cyclone Sala (8) Has had a slight freshen up. Good run expected with a cart into the race. Needed
Pirayas (1) Ok last start and gets a head start on the rest of the field. Can sneak into the top three
Grace N Elegance (6) Disappointing effort last start and looking for better. Give another chance

Race 4

Confederate (7) Solid second last start and a winning chance from the draw. Include here
Bruntwood Brigade (8) Has gate speed and goes well the track. Should give a good account
Sugar Ray Lincoln (6) In winning form and can go back to back if he grabs an early lead

Race 5

Olympic Ko (1) Fought on last start in a stronger field. Better draw and one for longer odds
Angelic Copy  (9) Had excuses last start and well placed here. Good each way chance here
Alecto  (10) Will be fitter after last start. Terrible draw but stable going well and can run top three

Race 6

Georgie Best (7) Good against a similar field last start. Hard to beat with the right trip in this
Prince Lincoln (6) Should get a soft run handy. Winning claims at longer odds. Top three players
Utah Blaze (1) Should get a soft trip on the pegs. Can run into a place from there. Include

Race 7

Castana (7) In great form and should get a soft trip. Will need manners but can go close here
Romeo Foxtrot (6) Never far away and should go close to placing in this. Winning claims
Makaku (1) Manners the key but has a big motor. Hard to beat with no mistakes in the running

Race 8

Two Jules (12) Hasn’t had all the luck in recent starts but well placed here. Top selection in this
Mantra  (8) Decent motor and is drawn well here. One of the better chances and can run top three
Proviseur (1) Running on last start. Will continue to improve and place hope here at longer odds

Race 9

Miki Doo (12) Drops in grade for this and looks hard to beat on his latest effort. Winning claims
Seaside Boss (11) Decent motor and small field will help. One of the better chances in this line-up
The Night Agent (4) Stable respect and gets his chance in this field. One of the main contenders
