Former Victorian mare Cadence Lane (Father Patrick) completed a great night for trainer Ryan Hryhorec In taking out the $14,000 Kevin and Kay Seymour Trotters Mobile Final at Globe Derby on Saturday evening.

The race was a timely boost for stake money and is part of an effort of the Harness Racing South Australia to encourage participation and provide more incentives to owners and trainers.
Heats were conducted the week before at Globe Derby and the event put together an evenly matched group of trotters.
Cadence Lane commenced brilliantly to clearly lead but then Ryan Hryhorec allowed stable mate and favourite Majestic Summer to take up the running. Silver Spoon was about to get the trail behind the leader when he broke and he settled back in the field but his driver Michael Smith took off to sit outside the lead.
Janes Gem a heat winner had the one out and one back trail.
Majestic Summer shook off Silver Spoon but in doing so allowed Cadence Lane to have a clear challenge. Cadence Lane came off the rails and got the better of Majestic Summer but Our Spitfire who had been buried back on the rails obtained an inside run and was finishing fast. But Cadence Lane hung on to score by one and a half metres from Our Spitfire with Twixton in third placing.
CADENCE LANE AUG 30 REPLAY
Cadence Lane was formerly prepared by Peter Manning in Victoria and she was a tough filly as a two year old winning at Melton. She was then transferred to Hryhorec’s stables in January of this year and obviously appreciating the weaker opposition has won on six occasions with three placings from twelve appearances.
Cadence Lane has proved herself to be one of the State’s most consistent trotters and she must be considered for the forthcoming series of Trotters features to be run in South Australia.

Earlier in the evening Hryhorec was successful with Lochinvar Magic (Bettors Delight) driven by Danielle Hill, and then followed up with Trailblazer (Bling It On) and John Vincent (Vincent).
But to cap off a truly memorable evening for Hryhorec he landed his fifth training success and fourth driving win when Ebonys Avenger (Kvintet Avenger) led all the way to give a faultless display to win the Kvintet Avenger at Truscott Stud Trotters handicap, the final event on the program. Ebonys Avenger is another former Victorian and the well travelled six year old mare is nicely placed to continue to make her presence in South Australia.
