Jarlsberg Norway hosted a  fine  card this day including the featured Ulf Thoresen. The 6.81/1 Maharina Sun (6f Maharajah-Seaside Illusion-Muscle Hill) was a closing second driven by Magnus Teien Gundersen for trainer Geir Vegard Gundersen. Maharasha (5f Maharajah-Sheismydream SS-Cantab Hall) was third at 10.42/1 odds with Per Oleg Midtfjeld handling this Thor Berg trainee.

The featured Ulf Thoresen Grand International (purse to winner 800,000Nok, 2100 meters autostart) saw the 1.68/1 odds favorite Onas  Prince (8m Chocolatier-Sobra-Pine Chip) control affairs and score easily timed  in 1.10.4kr. Per Nordstrom drove and trains this 35 time winner in 61 starts for 15,661,072Nok.

Nordstrom co-owns the winner along with Hansen and Nilsson. Home second in a  pack of rivals was 10.66/1 odds Daim Brodda (5f Readly Express-Dancin in thehall-Cantab Hall) that Erik Hoitomt teamed for conditioner Thor Berg and Stall Tonga Racing AB. Kentucky River (7m Father Patrick-Flicka River-Ready Cash)  landed third at 6.05/1 odds  with  Orjan Kihlstom handling this Daniel Reden training product. Mister Hercules at 9.56/1 was a miscue dq.

At Carentan France was  leg 9 of the Trophee Vert series named the Prix de  la Ville de Carentan les Marais (purse 50,000€, 2850 meters, 17 starters ages 6-10 on the  turf). Here the 12/1 odds Happy de la Cote (8g Niky-Uranie des Elfes) scored with a stirring rally for driver Adrien Lamy, trainer Sebastien Guarato and owner Jerome Ferte.

Winning time was not reported. The winner now sports eight career wins in  50 starts for 187,125€. The 50 meter penalized and 6.7/1 odds Hannibal Tuilerie (9g Remember Jihem) was second for David Thomain driving for trainer C.M. Bruneau with third to 8.5/1 Iermes de Guez (7g Val Royal) that Yoann Lebourgeois teamed for trainer Nicolas Bazire and breeder/owner Ecurie Vautors.

Two more 50 meter handicapped rivals finished fourth and fifth – 30/1 odds  Hidalgo des Noes (8g Opium) was fourth for A.G. Maillard and 7.4/1 odds Hulysse Digeo (8g Reve de Beylev) was fifth handled by trainer J.W. Hallais.
