The star on the bonny American-bred harness racing mare Aldebaran Acrux Usa, who is owned by Aldebaran Park, continues to shine…..

The daughter of three-time leading USA trotting sire Chapter Seven sent her stake earnings beyond the $150,000 plateau when she sat parked throughout winning a Free-For-All at Melton on June 14 defeating the Aldebaran Park-bred mare Aldebaran Vera.
It was her sixth success on Australian soil and she is regarded as one of the best trotting mares in the country. Her win cemented a trip to the Inter Dominion Trotting Series at Albion Park in July.
There is no doubt she has matured with racing and her trainer-driver Chris Svanosio is confident that she will handle the longer distance races in the series. She has now won $151,703 and with her best times of 1:57.1 in Australia and 1:55 in America she will be a welcome addition to Aldebaran Park’s broodmare band when her racing career is finished.
Aldebaran Park resident stallion Skyvalley NZ, who ranks third on the all-aged list this season, led in four winners for the month including Kyvalley Anthony, a winner of three of his last five starts, the Melton winner Old Villa Boy, and the three-year-olds Alrighty (Bendigo) and Skyvalley Boy (Shepparton).
Skyvalley also figures as the damsire of the brilliant Melton Free-for-all winner Im Bobby, the Cranbourne three-year-old victors Sky Flair and Kyvalley Jenny, and Silver Spoon.
Aldebaran Eagle USA, who is fifth on this year’s Australian trotting sires’ list, enjoyed another productive month.
His headline act was the mare Dichotomy, who chalked up three successes from four starts at Melton in 1:56.2, 1:57.5 and 2:00.1. She has now won 10 races and almost $130,000 in stakes.
Aldebaran Eagle was also represented by the three-year-old winners Mystery Fred (Melton), Huxham Chubb (Geelong) and Myheartbeatstrue (Bendigo) and the homebred winners Aldebaran Boyd (ex Aldebaran Revenue), who won at his first start in Western Australia, and Aldebaran Buddy (ex Sundon’s Babe NZ).
Aldebaran Park bred five individual winners in June.
Besides Aldebaran Boyd and Aldebaran Buddy, stud-bred winners were Aldebaranstilinski (Sebastian K Swe-Aldebaran Sky), who won twice off handicap marks at Albion Park, the Melton three-year-old winner Aldebaran Abel (Father Patrick USA-Aldebaran Aliza) and the Shepparton winner Kyvalley Heist NZ (Muscle Mass USA-U Dream NZ).
