Harness racing hits Auckland again today with 9 races on the card. The racing starts at 5:24pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Value:  R4  Ocean Eyes

Race 1

Hawkeye Pierce (5) Freshened and looks stronger this time in. Should go close to winning here
Ragnar Lothbrok (2) Nice draw to work with. Needs the right trip but top three chance in this
J T Boe (4) Getting better with racing and stable going great guns. Place chance again. Needed

Race 2

American Me (6) Very fast beginner and handicap no issue in this. Top selection and small field helps
Twista (3) Freshened and should handle the stand ok. One for longer odds from strike rate stable
Mantra Blue (5) Improver from her last start and handicap the main issue here. Solid win chance

Race 3

In The Summertime (3) Race winner who looks over the odds. Driver change and upset claims here
Tytate (6) Ok last start and a threat to the favourites if he can go forward early here. Include in this
Princess Lisa (10) Good effort last start and can sneak into the top three again with a soft run in transit

Race 4

Ocean Eyes (6) Running on last start in a stronger field. Well placed here and should give a good sight
Regal Girl (8) In form and goes well on the track. Stable respect and looks one of the main chances
Melsadele (11) Improver with a win chance if she can get around the field without doing too much work

Race 5

Ultimate Racy Girl (7) Tricky draw over the sprint trip. In form and will need luck but include in combos
Seaclusion (6) Gate speed to lead and should be in it for a long way here. Good each way chance
Courtney Rose (3) Disappointed here last start. Better than that and give one more chance. EW claims

Race 6

High Energy (5) Best horse in the field and has been unlucky. Only needs a better run to go close in this
Lord Popinjay (6) Decent motor and can begin quickly. Likely to be near the speed and has place claims
Iron Love (4) Disappointing last start. Will continue to improve and place hope with no mistakes

Race 7

Final Change (1) Looked a run short last start. Best draw and one for longer odds from a trailing position
Roy Kent (3) Decent motor and is drawn well here. One of the main players and might go forward early
You Little Beauty (5) Tough run last start. Can do some work mid race and stick on. Needed here

Race 8

Happy Hill (5) Manners query but this looks a weaker field than what he has been racing. In the mix
Home Grown Girl (1) Best draw and good third on debut. Has to be respected but will need manners
Whatever It Takes (6) Has a bit of a reputation. Could surprise in a fresh condition. Worth including

Race 9

Debrief (5) Has raced better fields. Just needs a good run in transit to show his best. Top selection here
Dominus (3) Ok draw and has gate speed. Driver change and has upset top three claims at longer odds
Billy The Kid (7) Good finish last start and can do some work mid race. Track stats ok and can threaten
