Harness racing hits Auckland again today with 7 races on the card. The racing starts at 5:25pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Race 1

American Me (6) Comfortable win last start and looks to have the measure of these. Needed
Mantra Blue (5) Getting better with racing and cannot be discounted tonight. Has to be included
Seaclusion (4) Likely leader with her gate speed early. Can stick on for a top three finish

Race 2

Mhai Surfer Girl (6) Has won a few of these mares sprint races in the past. Hard to beat here
Wicked Wanda (5) Has been tough the last few runs and due a winning turn. Go again in this
Treacherous Baby (7) Improver from her last start and have the last say. Top three chance

Race 3

High Energy (7) Finished well last start and small field will help her chances. Good run expected
Halberg (6) Has been racing well in similar fields and a threat to these. Has to be included here
Regal Girl (1) Good effort last start and better draw. Can sneak into the top three here at odds

Race 4

Courtney Rose (5) Solid finish last start and a win chance with better luck in this. Top selection
Hooray Henry (7) Goes well the track and solid third here last start. Should give a good account
Always Be Mattie (3) Gate speed to lead and an improver with a place chance in this. Include

Race 5

Tyson (4) Decent reputation and has been freshened. Upset claims at longer odds in this. Needed
Franco Salah (5) Long odds winner last start but harder here. Good each way chance again
Clouding Over (2) Has raced well in similar fields in the past. Good draw will help. Place hope

Race 6

Westar Milly (3) Good against a way weaker field last start but will be improve. Can go close
Sans Au Revoir (2) Should get a soft run handy. Extra distance suits and is a good place chance
That’s What We Do (8) Due to show form and this field looks suitable. Top three hopes in this

Race 7

Johnny Lincoln (4) Never out of the top three and that should continue here. Has to be included
Aunty Rose (2) Decent motor and is drawn well here. Improver who might push forward to lead
Captain Moonlight (3) Freshened and has speed. Will continue to improve and has winning claims

Race 8

Mad Mary (1) Got caught out and worked hard last start. Better draw and can go close to winning
Johnny Trotter (3) Decent motor and is drawn well here. One of the better chances in this line up
Happy Hill (5) Disappointing last start. Chance if he trots all the way. Give another chance
