Elegant A an easy winner

Elegant A (Tyler Miller) wins the featured $10,000 fillies & mares’ harness racing pace at Tioga Downs on Friday (May 23).

No Cigar Tony (Mike Merton) went to the lead and led to the quarter :27.3.  Prairie Magical (Tom Merton) then came first-up and grabbed the lead at the half in :56.1.  Hello Yes Hi (Ridge Warren) took their turn on the lead and led to three-quarters in 1:24.4.

As they made the turn for home Elegant A ($3.00) came flying by and won easily in 1:53.4.  Huntressville A (Braxten Boyd) took second money.  Hello Yes Hi had to settle for third.

Elegant A is a 7-year-old mare by Somebeachsomewhere.  She is owned by Pollack Racing and trained by Jeff Cullipher.  It was her fifth win this season.  She now has 24 career victories.

ELEGANT A REPLAY

Braxten Boyd had a driving hat trick.  Ridge Warren and Tyler Miller had driving doubles.  Jeff Cullipher had a training double.

Tioga Downs returns to live racing on Saturday (May 24) with a post time of 6:15 p.m.
