Harness racing hits Hawera again today with ten races on the card . The racing starts at 12:13pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Race 1

Trippy Tyron (9) Solid at Otaki on grass. Can run top three again here with any improvement
Mr Monty (11) Has had a run to get fitter and should be close to peak fitness. Winning claims
Aldebaran What (7) Driver change and should suit grass. Manners needed but include here

Race 2

State Trooper (3) Stable respect and has run a couple of decent races earlier on. Track will suit
Rutherford (6) Has been disappointing in better fields. This is easier and top three chance
Moonlite (2) Improver from his last start and Canterbury horses have a good record here

Race 3

Eagle Hanover (4) Looked close to her best form when second last start. Good run expected
Jaccka Baylis (7) Ok last start and a big chance with early manners. Depends on start here
Cool Phelan (9) Top effort last start and in good form. Place chance but manners needed

Race 4

Frankie (2) Has the motor but has been disappointing. At his best would go close in this
Lukaku (7) In form but unknown on grass. Should give a good account in small field
Ideal Crunch (8) First starter but chance here on stable respect alone. Worth including

Race 5

Whitfield (1) Good draw and has had no luck in recent starts. Go again in these conditions
Rapid Response (9) Goes well on grass and should get a soft trip. Good each way chance
Eddie Osei (5) Will be fitter after last start second and quick beginner. Not the worst in this

Race 6

Cracker Rock (8) Good against tougher fields in the past. Tricky draw but hard to beat in this
The Next Best Thing (12) Running on well last start. Draw a concern but has winning claims
Run Mason Run (4) Due to show form and drawn well here. Driver change and could upset

Race 7

Boudica (7) Quick beginner who has raced better fields. Can run a tidy sprint on grass surface
Dennis Denuto (1) Should land handy early. Last start failure but go on previous performances
Village Rebel (13) Tricky handicap over the sprint but grass suits. Upset claims with manners

Race 8

Fusion Reactor (2) Gets a head start on the favourites. Well placed here and hard to beat in this
Lewey Maguire (6) Grass stats good and should go close to placing in this. Stable respect here
Kourtney Kardash (7) In good form and draw the only concern. Top three chance with luck

Race 9

Boss Kenny (6) Has the motor and grass surface no issue. Needs to step cleanly but can go close
Sans Au Revoir (4) Ok last start and a drawn well here. Could be over the odds in this field
High Energy (9) Disappointing last start. High class trotter who should make her presence felt

Race 10

Sweet Spirit (4) Drawn well and looks a good bet if she can stay handy and have one run at them.
Benjamin Button (6) Has raced good fields and better than most in this. Has to be respected
Tasi Ahnau (3) Good finish last start and can do some work mid race. One of the better chances
