Harness racing hits Manawatu again today with six races on the card. The racing starts at 5:17pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Value:  R7   Run Mason Run

Race 1

Cosmic Angel (5) Good third last start. Normally begins well. Top selection in this
Quercus Rubra (7) Too good last start and might try similar tearaway tactics. Needed
Mr Monty (4) Much better last start and . Good winning chance

Race 2

Bigger The Bettor (1) Third last start was good and should be improved. Can win
Million Dollar Chic (2) Well drawn and has the speed to threaten here. Top three chance
Narobi (10) Ok last start and could surprise in this. Chance at longer odds here

Race 3

Jetasi (6) At his best would go close in this. Form on board and good from stand
Frankie (3) Wide draw but good beginner. Good winning chance if she can lead
Miss Woodville (1) Racing well in similar fields and can run top three with manners here

Race 4

Red Rackham (7) Drawn well and will be running on. Top selection from the ace draw
Rough And Ready (2) Better than the form suggests. Chance at longer odds with the run to suit
Bad Medicine (6) No form but has gate speed. Can place with luck in running

Race 5

Doctor Tim (4) Drawn wide and at her best would go close. Give another chance
Victor Bravo (5) Change of stable. Can surprise and form on the track is ok. Include
Cristiano Buccini (2) Ok in stronger fields recently. One of the better chances

Race 6

Run Mason Run (4) Back in from and this looks easier than recent races. Hard to beat
Blue Chip Lou  (3) Good form and  looks suited here. Good winning chance
Uncle Drew (5) Could be the early leader in the race. Even field but place claims

Race 7

Santanna Mach (4) Good run for fifth here last start. Good draw and can improve further
The Elite Athlete (1) Fresh up and trials have been ok. Not the worst at longer odds
Baileys Pitch (3) Very consistent form. Should go close to top three again from the draw
