The Board of Harness Racing Victoria has ratified the 2015-16 racing calendar.

A total of 460 harness racing meetings have been scheduled with individual club meeting allocations remaining unchanged from 2014-15.

The successful Summer of Glory Carnival will be held across two weeks once again, on Saturday nights February 6 and 13 in 2016.

There are 154 day meetings scheduled and 259 night meetings, with 47 twilight programs.

Some of the key changes to the calendar are:

 Maryborough’s Redwood Carnival to be run two weeks later on Friday 31 July, Saturday 1 August and Sunday 2 August 2015.

 Breeders Crown Finals Day to be run one week later on Sunday August 30 2015.

 Maryborough Cup to be run on Sunday 25 October 2015 has come forward one week to replace the Kilmore Cup.

 Ballarat Cup to move from mid-December to Saturday 30 January 2016.

 Cranbourne Cup to move from first Saturday night in December to Saturday night 5 March 2016.

 Kilmore Cup to move from Sunday day meeting in late October to Saturday night 19 March 2016.

 Mildura will be unavailable from early October until mid-December due to track reconstruction works. This has necessitated the Ouyen Harness Racing Club to be requested to conduct three of their meetings at Swan Hill.
