All Stars runners at Addington

As they do most weeks, the All Stars Racing Stables preview all of their runners for the weekends harness racing.

This week the stable has seventeen runners at the Premier night of harness racing at Addington tonight.

We reproduce their preview with the kind permission of the All Star team.

Race 1

Cash n Flow – Natalie

Form: Impressive run for fourth in Sales Pace last week suggested he will match most of these.

Comment: "A nice race for him and he has trained on well from last week. He looks hard to beat"

Race 2

Wanna Play – Mark

Form:  Finished on strongly in Trotting Oaks then galloped early in Trotting Derby losing chance.

Comment: "Getting hard to follow this one. Seems to be working up all right and would have a place hope with the best run but you have to take on trust"

Prince Fearless – Natalie

Form: Galloped early in Sires Stakes then fourth in Great Northern Derby. Freshened.

Comment: "Yes his form has been a mixture I think of others getting better and he may not just be quite as sharp as he was maybe. I can see him in four but from there it won't be easy for him to beat Speeding Spur.

Race 4

King Denny – Mark

Form: Two brave efforts at Auckland when debuting against the best around showing he will match them.

Comment: "He is well. Working up just as we would like and he takes a bit of work for a smaller sized horse. He is going to move on with this race and Master Lavross has that hard racing under his belt so maybe he will be too hard to beat. But our little guy is very well"

Race 5

Northern Velocity – Mark

Form: Lost it last time in Sires Stakes Final in Auckland after G1 second in Caduceus Classic.

Comment: "Mark is happy with her work this week. She still has a bit of maturing to do and   when things go wrong as at Auckland she can lose it a bit. From there she will be pressing on. Mark will want to make it a good staying race"

Race 6

Border Control – Mark

Form: Hasn't been further back than 4th in a year including 4ths in Auckland Cup and Messenger and 2nd Taylor Mile

Comment: "He's a little roly poly and he needs racing so he could be found one short. He will certainly take something from the race but on his racing up north he has to be hard to beat"

Race 7

High Gait – Natalie

Form: "Push button" young trotter unbeaten in four starts the last one here.

Comment: "I won't pretend anything I am really gutted with some of these draws especially in feature races. From inside of the second line it makes it very difficult. With young trotters you can expect it to open up but it just adds to the tactical headache. She is ready for this and should be hard to beat-if she can keep out of trouble early"

Missandei – Mark

Form: Yet to win but close up in Trotting Stakes behind High Gait and continues to improve.

Comment: "She is quite a quick wee girl-probably has as much speed as High Gait and if she got the right run to sprint home could get into it"

Race 8

Classical Art – Tim

Form: Faded after tough run in Nevele R Final. 4th in Northern Oaks 2700m. Has gate speed.

Comment: "Yes it's true last week wasn't as bad as it might have seemed from a form viewpoint. She just gets to hang in her races at times and she did it last week. We have worked on her this week and changed some things. She has a draw and speed out of the gate and depending on what happens might get the best run. She has the ability if her racing manners don't let her down"

Supersonic Miss – Mark

Form: Just missed 3rd in fast run Nevele R giving leaders a start. Broke 3.20 for 2700m when 3rd Northern Oaks

Comment: "She was a little unlucky last week just not being able to push forward when she wanted to but she has the draw this week to make her own luck. I expect Mark will put her in the race and she is another who can end up with the good run. She is a very good filly  and they know she was there if things go right"

Fight for Glory – Natalie

Form: Huge effort in Nevele R from front row draw. This draw not in the front row and in a very bad place on the back row.

Comment: "Well that draw just makes it so hard. With The Orange Agent out where she is with a good marble we could really make a race of it I believe but it is going to be really tough from where we are-probably takes away our winning chance. She is a great wee filly and tries her heart out but the odds are stacked against us "

Linda Lovegrace – Blair

Form: Career best efforts over a mile but big run in Nevele R last week and unlucky in final heat prior.

Comment: "Blair was very pleased with her last week. She was another who just had too much to do from the 500m. She is probably not our best chance but she can get some of it"

Race 9

Lightfingered – Natalie

Form: Stepped up for another win last week. Super consistent.

Comment: "Great wee guy and he just keeps stepping up. This is quite a step up again but you couldn't count him out of doing it. He is one of those horses who does what he has to. He can sit handy while they run two minutes and sit handy when they run 54. That suggests there is untapped potential there yet. He is certainly some value here"

Race 10

Lazarus – Mark

Form: Dictated and easy in fast time last week. Great form that.

Comment: "He's got the right gate and he has the speed to capitalise on it. He would be looking for the front and while they say there are going to be some heat it will take a fast horse to head him off. He hasn't had the racing of some of the others and is improving with racing more than most. We like his chances the form he is in"

Motu Premier – Tim

Form: Trailed Lazarus fought on well Sales Pace. Draw not so good this time.

Comment: "He hasn't go such a great draw this week and has to make more of his  own luck from there so he looks more of a place chance with Lazarus drawn where he is"

Chase The Dream – Natalie

Form: Having a succession of bad draws which is affecting the numbers. Still very good !

Comment: "The draw is a real bugger. He had an even worse one last week. Some think he was a bit disappointing last week, even Mark suggested it when we watched the replays but I don't go along with that. They ran home in just over 26 and while he is fast over a quarter he is not as fast as some over 200m so when he was held up you couldn't expect him to make a lot of ground. But that draw is just no help"

Race 11

Kept Under Wraps – Mark

Form: Dead stiff here last week. Looks a leading hope.

Comment: " He didn't really get into it last week so he should be ready for a big one here. He has been good all week and a big race is expected in this"
