Race replays of the week

By Harnesslink ·

On North American harness racing tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.

In Harnesslink Race Replays Of The Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.

Here’s our latest offering from the last seven days (week ended 19th of June)

AMERICAN FEATURE

Steve Wolf reported on some Yonkers feature action last week with Southwind Petyr impressing at odds of 6/1, the Joe Bongiorno driven son of American Ideal leading throughout and proving too strong in the run home.

CANADIAN FEATURE

The North America Cup was contested at Woodbine Mohawk Park over the weekend. Nicholas Barnsdale covered the aciton for us here at Harnesslink.com. In the end the feature was a close run thing with the Linda Toscano trained runner, Its My Show prevailing in a tight finish as Confederate closed powerfully from the back to make things tight. Watch the replay below.

NEW ZEALAND FEATURE

Sometimes it’s not about the stars but about the horse that finally gets the win! Bruce Stewart reporting on the long wait for a win for Sly Tricks – but the wait is over! Watch the victory below.
